Baby & Toddler Photography Sessions

My style

These sessions are just so much fun! There’ll be a lot of silliness (mostly on my part!) to capture those beautiful smiles and giggles to keep forever. But we’ll also just let your baby be peaceful to get some thoughtful and contented shots as well. I usually allow 2 hours for these sessions, but if they take a little longer then that’s not a problem! I will only leave once we’re all happy that we’ve got enough images.

For general information about my style please see my page on Your Session.

The perfect age

People often ask me what the best age for a photo shoot is, and to be honest almost every age has its own merits! After the newborn stage (normally up to 10 days) I would probably say to wait a couple of months when baby acne and dry skin have considerably reduced. It’s also lovely to wait until around 2-3 months when we should be able to get a few smiley shots too! Around 6-7 months babies are usually able to sit unaided and that opens up a whole new genre of poses. This is probably my favourite age as they are often so happy to engage and laugh, and the results are beautiful. Once they start crawling, probably around 8-10 months then things can get a lot trickier and there is usually a lot of wandering off… but we can get some great action shots, and interaction. Once they’re walking by around 1 year then this is a lovely time to really capture the fun and games, and most definitely keeps me on my toes!

If you still can’t decide then take a look at the ‘My First Year’ package where you can have 3 sessions to take at different stages over the first year.
